REMINDERS

FUN DAY on June 25th (afternoon) 

FREE SWIM DAYS from June 25th and June 27th from 10:20am to 11:00am. Your child will need to bring a towel and bathing suit for those two days. Permission form can be filled out on Powerschool. I am still looking for one more volunteer for both days to swim with our students. 

SUMMER SEASONAL WALK on June 26th from 11:30am - 2:30pm. The grade 1 students will walk to spray park and will be eating their lunches at the spray park. Please pack a bagged lunch for that day. The students will have the rest of the afternoon to play at the spray park. Please have your child  bring a towel, bathing suit, sunscreen and a hat. I recommend the students wear their bathing suits under their clothes that day. 

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL is June 27th.

Housekeeping Reminders: We have had a lot of practice for our Christmas Concert throughout the week but please be sure to practice the songs with your child. Check their book bags for the lyrics for "Frosty the Snowman" ( https://youtu.be/u0QqQNIpeiw ) and "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"  ( https://youtu.be/VGLGJV01C0Q ) Take the weekend to get plenty of rest, we have a busy week coming up! MESSAGE FROM MS. STAROSTECKI Hello Robina Families,  We hope you have a great summer! Shortly before school starts (late August) you will receive an email from your child’s new teacher letting you know what to expect in September in their classroom.  We will have a Meet the Staff  BBQ Event for all of our families on Thursday, August 29 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.  The first day of school for Grade 1-4 students is September 3, 2019. Reminders SOCKTOBER: Robina Baker Elementary School is collecting socks for Youth Empowerment Support Services. The socks need to be brand new (no used ones). Thank you, in advance, for your participation. Field Trip October 25, You can pay online via Powerschool. R.E.D. Reading Log: Please remember to fill out the reading log EACH TIME you read a book with your child. Our classroom's goal is reading 5 books per week. Each time they read 5 books in a week I will put their name in for the draw for 2 tickets to Laser City. Other: Grade 1C will be able to check out the Book Fair on Monday, October 24th at 12:45-1:15pm. Alberta Art Gallery Field Trip is on Tuesday, October 25th. The cost of the field trip is $19.
